Vaughn Bethell
Performance FC Owner/Founder
In 2006, Vaughn Bethell founded Performance FC located in Greenville, SC with a vision of providing the best level of soccer in the Upstate, as well as an exciting experience and fun for all families alike. He attended Furman University where he earned a degree in Health and Exercise Science as well as being a four year starter on the soccer team which was ranked top 20 nationally in Division I all four years of his career, including an Elite Eight appearance and a number 5 national ranking in 1999. He is now a member of the Bahamas National Team who took part in the Germany 2006 & South Africa 2010 World Cup qualifying competitions as well as the Digicel Carribean Cup at the end of 2006 where the Bahamas made it to the second round and an international ranking of 135 (the highest ranking ever for a Bahamian national squad). Vaughn was born in Nassau, Bahamas and raised in Lakeland, FL where he played soccer, basketball, baseball, and football. After entering high school, he decided to dedicate his time to soccer which led to a scholarship to Furman University and eventually a successful career in the sports industry.

Tom Morris

Morris played two years at Division I, Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y. and finished his collegiate career at Division II National Power, Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, New Hampshire. Tom Morris was a member of the 2006 Performance FC PASL team, and will serve as Head Coach/Player for the 2007 team. Morris, a member of the 2003 and 2004 SC Olympic Development Program staff, served as assistant coach of Anderson University Men's Varsity soccer program for 5 years. He also was Head JV Coach from 2005-2007. Morris holds a NSCAA National Diploma where he earned a "Pass with Distinction," and a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. Prior to going to Anderson in '02, Morris worked with the Greenville Futbol Club as an Acadmey Director, Trainer, and Coach. He assisted the Greenville U18 team to the SCYSCA State Cup championship and Tampa Bay Sun Bowl Tournament title. From 04-07 he has served as a trainer/coach for the Anderson Soccer Academy. He has coached two state championship teams at ASA -- U13 girls in '04-05 and U14 girls in '05-06. Tom also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science from Anderson University. He is a great asset to the Performance team. His discipline as a player and coach as well as his education is a great asset to Performance Indoor Soccer.

Andy is the starting goalkeeper for the Performance FC Men's Arena team and comes to us by way of Anderson University, where he was the starting goalkeeper from 05-07. At Anderson, Andy earned Conferece Carolinas All-Conference honors in 2006 and was voted the teams' Most Improved Player. Barth also holds a NSCAA State Goalkeeping Coach Diploma. Andy is a great addition to the Performance FC staff and has a great desire to work with kids and help them improve their skills and eventually have a successful soccer career. Andy is one of most hardworking athletes to come through the program and if he can rub some of his hardworking ethics off onto the players that come through our program, you will be very pleased at the results.
